What Does an NDT Technician Do?

Looking to design your own career in a constantly evolving field? Nondestructive testing (NDT) offers adventurous experiences.  An NDT technician (or NDT inspector) performs critical nondestructive testing that directly contributes to the reliability and safety of infrastructure worldwide, making a lasting impact. The job titles NDT technician and NDT inspector typically describe someone who has moved beyond entry-level or support roles.  Must have Valid State Driving License.

Imagine a role in which you work independently upon evaluating you have mastered Trainee roles/responsibilities   *Trainee description above* – including standard skills below –

  • conducting NDT inspections in various testing methods
  • using technology and equipment
  • interpreting and reporting inspection results and timely submissions, w/proper documentation
  • supporting Level III technicians, managers, and consultants
  • *complete understanding of Vehicle Maintenance Requirements & our enforcement of maintaining vehicle adhering to warranties, serving as the steward of assigned vehicle
  • *serving as a safety-steward to all locking/security mechanisms used within the company
  • *assessing Team-Members with evaluations by Human Resource Management, as needed
